Plus Size Clothing Swap:Impact We Created Together đź’ś

There is something powerful that happens when women gather with intention, generosity, and a shared commitment to doing things differently.

Our recent Plus Size Clothing Swap was more than an event—it was a living example of what community care, sustainability, and confidence can look like in action.

We began the day with 219 pieces of clothing…and together, we expanded that into something so much bigger.

✨ What We Collected

  • 378 pieces of clothing swapped in

  • 283 pounds of clothing diverted from waste and reimagined with purpose


♻️ Where It Went

Because of this collective effort, every piece found a meaningful next step:

  • 215 pieces (159 lbs) → Mutual Aid at Monteview Elementary

  • 104 pieces (68 lbs) → Local Mutual Aid through Serve 68

  • 31 pieces (15 lbs) → Upcycled through The Clothing Cycle reuse system

  • 3 pieces → The Clothing Cycle Shop

  • 64 pieces → Reserved for our next swap

And perhaps most beautifully…



đź’ś What Was Claimed

  • 180 pieces of clothing were taken home by participants—each one representing a moment of confidence, self-expression, and worthiness.

Because access to clothing that fits your body is not a luxury.It’s dignity. It’s visibility. It’s power. 🌿 Why This Matters

It was about:

  • Reducing waste in a system that often overlooks plus-size bodies

  • Creating equitable access to resources

  • Building a space where women feel seen, celebrated, and supported
